Responsibilities

  • Acquisition and processing of all Nuclear Medicine exams, including general NM scans and Nuclear Cardiology studies.
  • Quality control of all Nuclear Medicine equipment.
  • Safe handling of all diagnostic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Safe handling of all therapeutic radiopharmaceuticals.
  • Weekday, weekend, and holiday call for after-hour emergencies.
  • Follows all NRC and NJDEP regulations regarding radiation safety.

Requirements

  • Completion of clinical training through an NM training program or college requirements.
  • Graduate of an AMA-approved program in Nuclear Medicine.

Qualifications

  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support).
  • Current ARRT (American Registry Radiology Tech License) or CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medical Tech License).
  • Current NJ-NUCMED (NJ Nuclear Med Tech License).
