NTRO RESEARCH STUDY MANAGER
About the role
Moffitt is a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, employing a dedicated team of nearly 11,000 members who are shaping the future of cancer prevention and cure. As a member of the Moffitt Non-Therapeutic Research Office (NTRO), you may interact with community members and patients to enroll, educate, and guide them through research participation. You may also support non-therapeutic research in various ways, including data entry, project and protocol management, and quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and lead several projects related to non-therapeutic research activities within a multidisciplinary oncology research environment, including translational and biomarker-driven studies.
- Support studies involving biospecimen collection, molecular characterization, biomarker evaluation, and other translational oncology research activities.
- Plan, lead, and facilitate daily research and administrative duties associated with the PI's portfolio of research.
- Monitor project timelines and perform related project quality assurance.
- Assign resources and oversee the training needs related to the study(s) implementations.
- Act as the liaison between the faculty member and the research coordinators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional, internal, and external teams to efficiently implement and execute all assigned protocols.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public health, psychology, biological sciences, or a relevant field, with five (5) years of directly relevant research experience (participant recruitment, biospecimen procurement, protocol amendments, data abstraction, budget planning), inclusive of two (2) years of project management related experience (leading, planning, implementing, and/or executing research projects).
- The ability to work well under the pressure of meeting mandatory deadlines.
- Good organizational skills and careful attention to details.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to plan, organize, and coordinate multiple work assignments.
- The capability to exercise good judgment, communicate with others, and display a high degree of competence, skill, creativity, and independence of thought and action.
- A strong data management and overall computer skills.
Skills
Working knowledge of oncology research, including cancer clinical, epidemiologic, translational, and/or outcomes research is preferred. Familiarity with molecular and biomarker-based research methodologies, including biospecimen-based studies, genomic testing, molecular profiling, or related laboratory and translational research concepts is preferred.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $71,635.20 - $109,158.40. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
