NSU Special Projects Intern: Fall 2026-Spring 2027
Job Summary
The Innocence Project is a not-for-profit organization working to exonerate innocent people through post-conviction DNA testing and policy changes. The Innocence Network, an affiliation of over 70 organizations, supports this mission. The Innocence Network Support Unit seeks an intern to support operational activities, including event planning and resource management.
Internship Duties and Outcomes
- Assist with conference preparations, including document and material organization, speaker liaison, social media efforts, and registration assistance
- Print, assemble, pack, and ship conference materials to Anaheim
- Manage conference staff responsibilities, addressing inquiries and resolving issues
- Gain experience with various platforms and tools like Google Groups, Monday.com, and MailChimp
- Process annual membership dues and assist with membership coalition operations
- Analyze and track Network exonerations, complete conference session evaluation surveys, and support annual report analysis
- Support other special projects as assigned
Qualifications and Experience
- A passion for the Network's work and interest in organizational development and nonprofit management
- Strong organizational and writing skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint and Excel
- Experience in event management a plus but not required
- Database management skills a plus but not required
- Knowledge of MailChimp a plus but not required
- Ability to travel to Anaheim, CA, on April 7th and return April 12th for the Innocence Network Conference
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Salary Range
$19.00 per hour for undergraduate students - $21.00 per hour for students in a post-graduate program
