NSMEM NDT Lead

About the role

Nucor Steel Memphis, Inc. is seeking an NDT Lead to support multiple aspects of the NDT lines, including safety-driven efforts, process development to meet customer specifications, review of product and test results, equipment calibrations, process improvement, and production/sales support. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment and the ability to meet changing customer and team demands. Safety leadership is a core responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety initiatives, policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards
• Develop and refine processes to meet specific customer specifications
• Review product and test results for quality assurance
• Perform equipment calibrations and maintain testing accuracy
• Drive process improvements and support production/sales teams

Requirements

• Willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, and holidays
• Level 2 MT/UT certification
• Three years of experience with non-destructive testing in steel applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in steel production or primary metals manufacturing
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing of SBQ steel
• Familiarity with industry standards for non-destructive testing
• Two to four-year technical degree or equivalent experience
