Where You'll Be Working

Across Northern Sydney Local Health District but based at Macquarie Hospital.

Responsibilities

Joining the Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) will mean you will be part of a dynamic team with various sites providing Aged Care Assessment to NSLHD. Excellent education and clinical supervision is provided on an ongoing basis. The team welcomes applications from those with a strong interest and passion for working with older persons and who want to be part of an experienced, friendly team of Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physiotherapists (PTs), Social Workers (SWs), and Registered Nurses (RNs).

• Commit to working to a high standard and within very tight time frames.
• Perform comprehensive assessments, formulate, and implement appropriate care plans for older people.
• Utilize detailed knowledge of My Aged Care, related aged care programs, and services to assess and support both routine and complex aged care presentations.

Requirements

• Relevant tertiary qualifications as per clinical discipline (nursing, occupational therapy, social work, physiotherapy), with full AHPRA registration or eligibility for membership of the relevant Australian peak professional body for the discipline.
• Proven high standard of written and verbal communication skills. Written skills need to be precise, clinically sound, and completed in a timely manner.
• Proven ability to use Microsoft Office Programs, electronic patient record systems, and e-Learning sites.
• Demonstrated discipline and clinical experience working in relevant aged care settings.
• People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.

Pay

• Allied Health Professional (Level 1 - 2): $1,522.06 - $2,171.41 per week
• Registered Nurse: $1,566.70 - $2,199.60 per week

Schedule

This is a full-time position with 38 hours per week.

Additional Information

This is a NSW Health Category A position which requires immunisation and screening for certain diseases. The full list of requirements is outlined in the NSW Health OASV Policy (Page 11). You will be required to complete the OASV Undertaking/Declaration Form and TB Assessment Tool during the recruitment process.
