NSA Summer Internship Programs at our Augusta, GA location offer students exciting, impactful professional work opportunities to grow their knowledge of the Intelligence Community and federal government while advancing NSA's two primary missions: collecting, analyzing, and producing foreign signals intelligence, and providing cybersecurity solutions and guidance to protect critical national infrastructure.
About the role
The Georgia Summer Internship Program at the National Security Agency in Georgia (NSAG) conducts full-spectrum Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) and Cybersecurity Operations. As an intern at NSAG, you'll work alongside experienced NSA professionals in STEM and non-STEM positions. Interns gain hands-on experience in roles aligned with their field of study, strengthening their understanding of the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, and federal government. This 12-week internship runs from mid-May to mid-August and includes collaboration, mentorship, and contributions to strategic national security outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside NSA professionals in mission-critical roles related to your field of study.
- Contribute to NSA’s missions: foreign signals intelligence and cybersecurity for national infrastructure.
- Participate in professional development through collaboration, guidance, and mentorship.
- Engage in hands-on work to advance national security objectives.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Must be enrolled in a degree-seeking program (undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate) at the time of application.
- Specific education requirements vary by program.
- Preferred cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Must be eligible for a TS/SCI security clearance, including a background investigation, Full-scope Polygraph, and Psychological Evaluation.
- Must be available for operational and technical interviews (in-person or virtual) between October 2026 and April 2027.
- May be required to complete an Unproctored Internet Testing (UIT) measuring cognitive ability, motivation, and English proficiency.
