Position Summary
NuVasive Clinical Services, a subsidiary of Globus Medical Inc., is a leading provider of intraoperative neuromonitoring (IOM) services to surgeons and healthcare facilities. The Revenue Cycle Specialist position provides administrative support in the post-payment review function of the medical revenue cycle process.
Essential Functions
- Review and verify claims meet No Surprises Act (NSA) requirements
- Submit Negotiations and IDR Final offers
- Maintain the database and logs by entering, updating, and retrieving data, as well as formatting and generating reports
- Aids in the resolution of outstanding accounts receivable problems from past due accounts
- Responds to inquiries from customers or external collection resources
- Plays calls and sends messages to those with unresolved issues
- Understands and maintains all governmental, regulatory, and company billing and compliance regulations and policies for payers
- Follows up with payers, third-party vendors, entities, and other appropriate parties to collect outstanding balances promptly
- Identifies and reports to management any payer or third-party vendor issues concerning billing and collections
- Reviews, analyzes, and reconciles post-payment accounts
- Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies
- Ensures compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role
- Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties
Qualifications
- High level of quality awareness, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Data-oriented with basic proficiency in MS Office Applications, strong analytical skills, and the ability to create detailed reports
- Sense of urgency and customer-oriented mindset with understanding of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) compliance and Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Ability to work independently, multitask and handle various priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Working knowledge of payer reimbursement guidelines and government, regulatory and company billing and compliance regulations/policies for assigned payers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Typically requires a minimum of 1-2 years of related experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Travel And /or Physical Demands
- Ability to sit for long periods of time, 6-8 hours per day in front of computer screen
