NRL Systems Administrator II (PT)

Location: Quantico, Virginia (Onsite). Clearance: Secret.

About the role

We are seeking a Systems Administrator for a part-time role. This position involves providing Windows desktop support, coordinating with cybersecurity teams, and performing system updates and patches. The role is integral to maintaining the operational readiness of a personnel testing lab environment and supporting ongoing testing sessions.

Responsibilities

• Provide Windows desktop support and perform PC maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Coordinate with the Cybersecurity team to identify and implement updates, patches, and maintain system compliance.
• Assist in preparing Authority To Operate (ATO) documentation by providing necessary artifacts.
• Perform and report on lab confirmation testing based on provided plans to ensure readiness for personnel testing and demonstrations.
• Provide in-person support during personnel testing and data collection sessions, including observation and issue resolution.
• Execute data downloads and deliveries according to established procedures.
• Manage updates for systems and an air-gapped network, including those from Microsoft, NSA/DISA, Dell, and Intel.
• Administer Local Area Networks (LAN) and CISCO IOS switches/routers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or 9 years of experience without a degree.
• 2+ years of experience with Windows 11 Desktop OS.
