NPD Material Planner

Job Summary

The NPD Material Planner is responsible for overseeing the development process and material orders for new products in the manufacturing plant. This role collaborates with various teams to ensure alignment of product timelines, solve problems, improve processes, and meet key metrics.

Responsibilities

• Plans purchased raw material for new products as required.
• Maintains optimal inventory levels to support production requirements and inventory turns goals.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to drive new product development initiatives.
• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, and annual standard work processes to support rigorous inventory management, supplier relations, data management, and operational effectiveness.
• Covers with external suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of components and materials required for NPI activities.
• Collaborates with internal stakeholders to ensure effective material and information flow throughout the entire value stream.
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, timelines, and critical path analyses to track progress and identify potential bottlenecks or risks.
• Facilitates phase-in/phase-out projects associated with design changes, value-engineering, supplier sourcing changes, and product lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, relevant years of work experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
• Experience with data analytics, change management, and productivity projects preferred.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, production planning, and inventory control.
• Oracle R12 experience preferred.
• Experience in new product launch or project management.

Annual Base Salary Range: $56,300.00 - $101,394.99
