NPD/DTV Engineer

We are seeking a New Product Development / Design to Value (NPD/DTV) Engineer to develop refrigerated merchandisers and drive cost reduction efforts on existing product lines.
Responsibilities
- Apply value engineering methodologies to optimize cost position on existing products.
- Collaborate with Strategic Sourcing and Manufacturing Engineering to implement cost-saving projects.
- Manage DTV projects from concept to completion, including scheduling and cross-functional communication.
- Brainstorm new and innovative solutions to achieve product standardization and modularity.
- Develop CAD solid models and engineering simulations of proposed concepts.
- Collaborate with Product Management to validate solutions with customers.
- Develop test plans and work with the Engineering Lab to validate solutions.
- Conduct field tests to validate solutions.
- Manage multiple projects and demonstrate capability to solve complex problems.
Requirements
- B.S. in Engineering.
- 1-3 years of experience in the design of industrial products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with product design and solid modeling in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in refrigeration, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sealed-system, airflow thermal management, or similar design theory and application.
- Experience in the practical application of Six Sigma and Lean tools.
- MS in Mechanical Engineering.
Skills
- Strong track record of NPD and DTV accomplishments.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with high product and process complexity.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a matrixed, functional organization and influence stakeholders across various groups.
- Innovative mindset with the ability to generate solutions to customer needs.
- Organized with business case analyses and reporting of project status.
- Proficient in MCAD modeling of proposed solutions.
- Lean/Six Sigma experience is a plus.
