Key Responsibilities
- Empower children to overcome communication challenges by providing diagnostic and therapeutic services in a school setting.
- Provide innovative speech and language services in both regular classrooms and in specialized one-on-one or small group sessions.
- Complete speech assessments with children who demonstrate a functional inability to perform in an educational environment.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Collaborate with a dynamic team of educators and professionals.
- Create all documentation necessary and communicate with school staff and families in support of students.
- Make a lasting impact on student's educational success.
Qualifications
- Ideal Candidates Have:
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Science Disorders.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC-SLP) or eligibility for certification.
- A Maryland and/or Washington D.C. license or eligibility for licensure.
- Passion for working with children and fostering their growth.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A commitment to data-driven, evidence-based practices.
