About the Role

We are searching for a talented Advanced Practice Practitioner to join our Urgent Care Team.

Hours: Modified full-time—36 hours. M-F 8:00 AM–8:30 PM / Sat-Sun 9:00 AM–5:30 PM. Shift includes day/evening, weekend, and holiday rotation. Every other weekend and every other holiday.

Locations: Dartmouth & Wareham, MA locations, plus all Urgent Care sites.

Responsibilities

• Under direction of assigned Physician, Office Manager, or designee, perform a wide variety of patient care and related duties both within and in support of Southcoast Physicians Group.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical exams, and review past medical records.
• Complete electronic health records and order/interpet laboratory and diagnostic studies.
• Explain necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated effects of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient and family.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
• Review results of studies and procedures and interpret results toward quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required.
• Physician Assistant: Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants within one year of hire is required. Over 3 months of experience. MA or RI Physician Assistant License authorization to practice. CME requirements as needed.
• Nurse Practitioner: Master’s of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required or immediately pending. Current MA or RI R.N. registration is required. Over 3 months of experience. NP MA Nursing License authorization to practice in an expanded role. CME requirements as needed.

Available to regular status employees who are scheduled to work a minimum of 24 hours.

Pay

USD $67.00 - USD $84.00 /Hr.

Schedule

Rotation schedule requirement: every other weekend and every other holiday.
