Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of a qualified Terros Health professional, perform tasks related to their specific area of study as outlined in the Intern Learning Contract.
  • Apply and continue to learn by practical application of principles, theory, and knowledge from related course work in a professional healthcare setting.
  • Keep detailed notes on areas of practice and study, including health promotion, disease prevention, counseling, physical exams, and client interactions.
  • Learn and apply diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, formulate action plans based on scientific rationale and practice guidelines.
  • Create a supportive environment for clients, assist in using community resources, and develop assessments for various aspects of client situations.
  • Contact PCPs, ED clinicians, and therapists as necessary to ensure whole health integrated care.
  • Follow Terros Health policies and procedures.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) program.
  • Available for summer and fall sessions.
  • Willingness to follow Terros Health policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Experience in healthcare settings.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passion for mental health and substance use treatment.
