About the role
The Emergency Department NP/PA works collaboratively with Emergency Physicians and other ED NP/PAs. The role involves delivering a broad range of medical services, including taking medical histories, conducting physical examinations, ordering diagnostic tests, administering treatments, monitoring patients, prescribing medications, assisting physicians, and counseling and educating patients.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Current NY State certification/registration as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
- 5+ years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant preferred but not required
- BLS, ACLS, ATLS & PALS certifications
- Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations
- Demonstrated knowledge of current and emerging trends in the field
- Demonstrated ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of health promotion, health risk identification, and patient education principles and techniques
