About the Role

Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. May care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly.

Responsibilities

  • Ambulatory Cardiology: Evaluate and manage new and established cardiology patients; manage cardiovascular conditions, risk factors, medications, and diagnostic testing; provide longitudinal follow-up, education, and care coordination.
  • Acute Care Cardiology: Evaluate and manage hospitalized patients with acute cardiovascular conditions. Collaborate with cardiologists and the multidisciplinary hospital care team.
  • Heart Failure: Evaluate and manage patients with new and established heart failure; optimize guideline-directed medical therapy; monitor treatment response; provide timely post-discharge follow-up and multidisciplinary care coordination.
  • Pre- and Post-Invasive Cardiovascular Care: In collaboration with the interventional cardiologists, perform pre-procedure assessments and coordinate testing; provide patient education and post-procedure evaluation.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the appropriate state (for NP).
  • Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) in the appropriate state.
  • Current certification in CPR.
  • National certification in the applicable area.
  • Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Qualifications

NP or PA with cardiology, cardiovascular, acute care, or related clinical experience preferred. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and an interest in comprehensive cardiovascular care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Pay

Compensation Range: $119,433.60 - $167,211.20
