NP or PA- Cardiac Surgery Step Down Unit--NIGHTS ONLY-MGH

About the role

This position is Nights Only, 6p-7:30a, with a weekend/holiday rotation. The starting pay rate for this position is $139,755.20.

Responsibilities

• Participates in daily rounds with nurses, other Advanced Practice staff, residents, and multidisciplinary caregivers
• Performs bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Participates in the development and implementation of care plans
• Coordination of tests and consultations
• Implementation of treatment plans
• Communication with referring physicians
• Preparation of patients for discharge
• Keeping Surgeons and Intensivists updated as required

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
• Advanced knowledge of reading ECG, Radiology, and Laboratory data
• Basic understanding of Cardiac Surgery patient population to include Mechanical Circulatory Support (durable VADs)
• Ability to function in a high intensity, complex unit within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication skills

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse [RN - MA License]
• Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] [MA License] or Physician Assistant [MA License]

Skills

• Advanced knowledge of reading ECG, Radiology, and Laboratory data
• Basic understanding of Cardiac Surgery patient population to include Mechanical Circulatory Support (durable VADs)
