About the role
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week, rotating 3-13 hour shifts, with weekend/holiday coverage. The starting salary for this position is $139,755.20.
Responsibilities
- Participates in daily rounds with nurses, other advanced practice staff, residents, and multidisciplinary caregivers
- Performs bedside diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Develops and implements care plans
- Coordination of tests and consultations
- Implementation of treatment plans
- Communicates with referring physicians
- Prepares patients for discharge
- Keeps Surgeons and Intensivists updated as required
Requirements
- Masters Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant
- Advanced knowledge of reading ECG, Radiology, and Laboratory data
- Basic understanding of Cardiac Surgery patient population, including Mechanical Circulatory Support (durable VADs)
- Ability to function in a high-intensity, complex unit within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong communication skills
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse [RN - MA License]
- Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN] [MA License] or Physician Assistant [MA License]
Skills
- Advanced knowledge of clinical surgical practices and procedures for cardiothoracic patients
- Skilled in taking medical histories to assess medical condition and interpret findings
- Ability to maintain quality control standards
Pay
The starting salary for this position is $139,755.20 annually.
