NP, Cardiovascular

About the role

Under the directions of the Vice President of Patient Care Services and the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services, the nurse practitioner functions as a member of the multidisciplinary cardiovascular services team using standardize protocols to independently provide examination, evaluation and recommendation for treatment of patients.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounding and care of patients through performance of clinical duties including but not limited to, consultations, ordering of diagnostic tests, prescribing of pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies, development of treatment plans to facilitate the continuum of care from admissions to discharge
• Effectively communicate and document data relevant to the care of the patients
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcome
• Using evidenced based guidelines, assist with the development of clinical programs that enhance the delivery of services

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nurse practitioner program
• Licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of California
• Current BLS / ACLS Certification
• Current furnishing number or eligible from the California BRN
• Current DEA registration or eligible

Experience

• Minimum of five years of critical care or cardiovascular nursing experience
• Minimum of two years' experience in similar nurse practitioner / coordinator role
• CCRN-American Association of Critical Care Nurse preferred
• National certification in a nurse practitioner specialty preferred
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Pay

$69.68/hr - $109.38/hr. Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for this role, including but not limited to, shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities.
