About the role

NVIDIA GPU Application Engineering is a department dedicated to providing technical support to NVIDIA global customers. Our primary mission is to deliver NVIDIA GPU-related technical information to our customers, train them on designing NVIDIA GPU-related products, collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs)/Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs) for new feature development, and assist our customers in efficiently bringing NVIDIA GPU-related products to market.

Responsibilities

  • Working with NVIDIA multi-functional teams for notebook feature development
  • Build design guides, application notes, and other supporting technical collateral for notebooks
  • Provide technical support during notebook development, testing, and production
  • Conduct hardware design reviews including schematic, PCB, and PDN to ensure customer designs meet NVIDIA guidelines
  • Install, configure, debug, and bring up customer notebook hardware
  • Work directly with NVIDIA customers, analyze data to answer questions, reproduce errors, resolve, or escalate customer issues
  • Supervise, file new bugs, and reproduce issues as needed

Requirements

  • BS or higher in EE, CE, or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience with notebook hardware and circuit design
  • Professional-level interpersonal skills, including the ability to adjust communication to the technical level of the audience
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of NB hardware, power, thermal, and electrical systems
  • Ability to perform signal measurements and scope operations
  • Good knowledge of X86 System Architecture
  • Familiarity with Linux is advantageous
  • Strong communications skills
  • Innovative, results-oriented problem solver

Qualifications

  • Experience with ARM
  • Knowledge of PCIe, I2C, DP/eDP/HDMI, USB-C, I2S, SATA
  • Extensive knowledge of notebook hardware, circuit design, power, thermal, and electrical systems

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $136,000 to $218,500 USD based on location, experience, and comparable positions
  • Equity and comprehensive benefits package
