About the role
We are seeking a Wastewater Market Sector Leader at HDR, an industry leader in the drinking water and recycled water markets. This role is ideal for someone passionate about protecting public health and understanding the "One Water" concept.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive a long-range Wastewater vision and strategy for HDR’s North Texas Area.
- Engage in professional organizations allied to the wastewater market to lead HDR’s Wastewater branding in North Texas Area.
- Collaborate with other technical and marketing staff in pursuing new projects, serving as a leadership role in selected key pursuits.
- Support the development of and provide reviews of scopes of work, fee estimates, project risk identification, and project schedules.
- Coordinate staffing/recruiting plans for key hires and assist leadership with technical or project management hires.
- Identify technical gaps and support talent management and recruiting.
- Apply Wastewater initiatives to the marketplace and implement national Wastewater initiatives.
- Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations.
- Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations.
- Promote the Wastewater market by being involved in marketing planning, proposals, and interviews for Wastewater projects.
- Serve as the Client Manager for selected key clients.
- Assist with contract review on key projects to ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews, and resolution of claims.
- Serve as a project manager on large or key projects and ensure the best technology and solutions are integrated into project delivery.
- Act as a QA/QC reviewer for Wastewater projects, including plans, specifications, models, presentations, and reports, and be engaged early in the project delivery process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field.
- Masters’s degree in engineering, planning, or related field.
- Professional Engineering License from Texas, Oklahoma, or Arkansas.
- Minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
- Experience in development and management of strategic marketing programs for planning and/or engineering services.
- Experience in development and management of a wide range of client relationships and specific program and/or project pursuits.
- Experience with staff mentoring and development of multidiscipline teams.
- Experience with industry associations and maintaining a visible profile in the market sector.
