About the role
Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven shop porter. The Service Shop position is responsible for the day to day coordination and oversight of all aspects of the maintenance and cleanliness of the shop and its surroundings.
Responsibilities
The role includes, but is not limited to, cleaning around shop bays and removing tires from tire room. Daily tasks include physical service shop rounds, inspection of the facility for issues to be repaired, and preventive maintenance rounds of the facility. The technician will also perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs of the facility and equipment.
- Daily: Perform daily rounds, empty oil containers, and remove tires from tire room. Perform other duties requested by staff and supervisors within the facility, including furniture moves, equipment repairs, and problem-solving issues as needed.
- Weekly: Perform preventive maintenance rounds as assigned, assessing different aspects of the facility. Work closely with the supervisor to improve the overall function of systems within the facility.
- Monthly: Perform a monthly physical inspection with the supervisor to locate areas that need attention. Perform monthly preventive maintenance checklists as assigned and make corrections as necessary.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum two years of on-the-job experience.
- Minimum one year of construction or professional trade experience is preferred.
- Experience with multiple hand and power tools is preferred.
- Operator's Driver's License, must be insurable.
