About the role

Our servers play a vital role in every meal—welcoming and guiding guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and attending to details in a warm, caring, and friendly manner.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, running food/drinks, and other tasks as needed.
• Be knowledgeable about Food & Beverage menus, current promotions, and specials; answer guests’ questions clearly.
• Accurately record guests’ orders and enter them into the POS system in a timely manner.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from the kitchen or bar and deliver them to guests promptly.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager.
• Process payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards), ensure accurate transactions, and deliver correct change efficiently.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Requirements

• Ability to physically stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Ability to reach, bend, and stoop frequently.
• Ability to deliver plates and clear tables, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Complete and pass the Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
• Complete and pass a food safety certification program, in compliance with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes.
