About the role

Our servers play a vital role in every meal—welcoming and guiding guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, and attending to details with warmth and care.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training.
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, running food/drinks, and other tasks as needed.
• Be knowledgeable about Food & Beverage menus, current promotions, and specials, and answer guests’ questions clearly.
• Accurately record guests’ orders and enter them into the POS system in a timely manner.
• Retrieve food or drink orders from the kitchen or bar and deliver them to guests promptly.
• Assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to involve a Manager.
• Process payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards), ensure transaction accuracy, and provide correct change efficiently.
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, and assigned sidework.
• Restock supplies and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 100% of the shift.
• Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., delivering plates, clearing tables).
• Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks and notes.
• Completion and passing of the Florida Responsible Vendor program (compliant with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes).
• Completion and passing of a food safety certification program (compliant with Flanigan’s and Florida statutes).
