North Carolina | Telehealth Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
About the Role
Affect Therapeutics is seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to deliver evidence-based telehealth treatment for stimulant use disorder and alcohol use disorder. This fully remote position involves leading member care, supported by a team of counselors and case managers, using a smartphone app combined with clinical care to provide real-time, data-driven treatment.
The role is 100% virtual. You will conduct telehealth evaluations and ongoing care from a private, quiet home office with reliable internet that meets HIPAA compliance requirements. Affect Therapeutics does not prescribe controlled substances; medication decisions are made at the provider's discretion.
Responsibilities
- Conduct telehealth evaluations after members complete biopsychosocial intakes
- Monitor member progress through monthly appointments
- Prescribe medications as needed and answer member questions
- Complete clinical notes in the EHR system (Healthie) and follow established clinical protocols
- Work collaboratively with a supportive team of counselors and case managers
- Attend occasional meetings with internal teams (scheduled in advance)
Requirements
- Full-practice, licensed PMHNP with an active, unrestricted license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in addiction treatment
- Active DEA registration with demonstrated experience prescribing Suboxone
- Comfort with technology, including EHRs and mobile applications
- Private, quiet home office with reliable internet for HIPAA-compliant telehealth
Preferred Qualifications
- Medicaid enrollment
- Experience with multi-state licensure (Affect covers licensure costs for additional states)
