About the role

We are looking for a CAD Design Engineer with a strong background in design engineering to work in a team-oriented environment that prioritizes safety. The ideal candidate will manage multiple designs in a fast-paced setting with tight deadlines, collaborating with teams to support equipment installation, repairs, and upgrades.

Responsibilities

• Support project managers and other departments with design needs.
• Provide the Mechanical Projects install team with design drawings, ensuring the end product meets specifications.
• Maintain and manage facility drawing records, including plant layout drawings.
• Operate a 3D scanner to create plant as-built drawings as needed.
• Support the machine shop by standardizing, updating, and creating parts drawings, and assist with future CNC operations.
• Address design needs for operations, safety, and small projects.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in CAD Design Engineering.
• Strong organizational, design engineering, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to deliver designs on time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred).
• Experience in the wire manufacturing industry (preferred).
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, building systems, utilities, and repair procedures for manufacturing equipment.
• Proficiency in Autodesk software (2D and 3D) and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Smartsheet (preferred).
