About the role

The successful candidate will manage a team of store associates, oversee operations, and ensure the store runs smoothly. They will also manage the store’s budget and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of store associates, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
• Oversee daily operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and payroll
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies
• Analyze store performance and develop strategies to improve profitability
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, and management
• Manage community relations programs

Requirements

• Prior work experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager in a grocery company or big box retail company
• Experience in managing people, departments, and whole stores
• Proficiency in scheduling, ordering, inventory, payroll, P&L analysis, project management, and personnel management
• Knowledge of employment law, interview techniques, and general retail hiring practices
• A Bachelor's Degree in a business concentration, such as Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, or others
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Willingness to work required hours, travel, and take assignments within the regional business areas (Washington/Virginia/Maryland/Delaware)
