Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain the development and implementation of a coherent NDT basic methodology and theory training plan for Army inspection personnel.
  • Perform on-site visits to provide surveys and classroom refresher training in Eddy Current Testing (ET), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), and Penetrant Testing (PT).
  • Evaluate and develop procedures, and provide technical documentation such as letters of agreement, memoranda of understanding, technical reports, and studies.
  • Conduct system performance checks and document results.
  • Provide guidance and supervision to trainees and Level 1 personnel.
  • Develop work instructions from approved general procedures.
  • Support research and development of exploration and advanced development projects relevant to the Army's NDT program.

Required Experience

  • Current or previous certification as a Level II or Level III NDT Inspector in accordance with one or more of the following: ET, UT, MT, PT.
  • Demonstrated experience performing and evaluating NDT inspections.
  • Strong technical writing and documentation skills.
  • Experience working independently and supporting field operations in both CONUS and OCONUS environments.
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%.
