Non-Traditional Electronic Warfare (EW) Chief Engineer
What You Will Do
Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams (Integrated Product Teams), working closely with Program Management leadership, with responsibility and ownership of engineering execution for cost, schedule and technical performance, Earned Value Management System (EVMS)/Estimate at Completion (EAC) tracking, and Risk & Opportunity management.
This includes managing staffing and staffing projections.
Fostering active and open communication team environment with a culture of high ethics, quality, consistency and continuous improvement within the team.
Lead RF and digital-based sensor product overall design efforts from concept and trade studies through requirements development, detailed design, supplier oversight, integration, verification/qualification testing, first delivery and production transition.
Lead technical solutions that meet complex user requirements and follow established Raytheon engineering policies and procedures while balancing schedule and budget.
Lead and participate in trade studies, research, development, models, simulations and implementation of complex signal processing algorithm and technique solutions for non-traditional EW applications and products.
Support and lead new business pursuits, including leading engineering proposal development, engineering bidding and technical proposal writing.
Also include supporting the Program Director in pursuit of new business opportunities with both current and potentially new customers by visitation and VTCs, helping to understand customers’ technical needs and then, shaping the opportunities.
Customer and management reporting, development of clear concise technical and programmatic presentations enabling informed/strategic decisions.
Lead customer status and technical interchange meetings.
Lead customer and internal design reviews.
Responsible for developing and delivering contractual deliverables.
Maintain close and regular communication and interactions with customers to build trusting relationships.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Experience leading engineering teams (hardware, software, firmware) with responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical execution.
- Highly self-motivated leader capable of fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
- Experience interacting well with both customers and internal management and producing quality technical documentation (such as technical final reports, white papers, technical roadmaps, BOEs, and technical proposals).
- Experience in systems, Hardware (HW), and embedded Software /Firmware (SW/FW) design, fabrication, and integration of RF-based EW sensor systems, Software Defined Radio technologies, and digital signal processing SW/FW techniques.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

- Demonstrated success in leadership roles in dynamic environments with changing priorities and resource constraints, maintaining composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Experience with EVMS or similar.
- Experience with proposal capture and development.

- The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD.
- Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
