Non-Student Short-Term Casual (S-PREP Preceptor)
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of program sessions including classes, special events and other program related activities.
- Prepare a course description, outlining the goals and objectives as well as prerequisites for assigned course(s) in alignment with provided syllabus/course blueprint.
- Deliver course instruction using the provided syllabus and submit updated materials if revisions are made.
- Create engaging class activities and administer quizzes, exams, and/or projects.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback for bi-annual evaluations.
- Track student attendance and participation.
- Chaperone field trips, college tours, and conferences as needed.
- Attend & support special events (opening/closing ceremonies, workshops).
- Provide recommendations for program improvements and/or colleges for students.
- Complete administrative/clerical duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education/training in science or mathematics (required)
Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
Prior teaching/tutoring experience preferred
Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment

Its mission is to increase the number of students pursuing careers in healthcare and STEM. The program offers academic enrichment courses, career development workshops, college advisement, and educational field trips.
Pay
The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
Schedule
This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate the needs of the program and students.
