About the role

The Non-Production Material (NPM) Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Primary support for all NA facilities related to PSAP questions/trouble-shooting, workflow maintenance, etc.
  • Primary support for all NA MLM facilities related to Annual Physical Inventory activities (work with Purchasing on SOW/bid requirements, developing and executing 3rd party schedule, continuous support and issue resolution from pre-API through post-API).
  • Supervise external team responsible for NPM Code Creation; hold team accountable to performance KPIs.
  • Responsible for NPM inventory attributes such as establishing overall and plant-specific targets, working directly with plants to optimize inventory through all available venues, monitoring KPIs, and intervening when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, ICT, EHS/WHS, Finance/MGA, Facilities/Maintenance/Engineering, Plants, etc. to resolve issues and streamline processes.
  • Perform (on-site) Plant Tool Stores assessments to confirm process adherence; assist in gap closure.
  • Expected to travel as needed to support training needs and/or Annual Physical Inventory process.
  • Integrate innovative PSAP or other tools to improve inventory management practices.
  • Manage all NPM-related governance and training documentation for current applicability, including development of new ones as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • PSAP or SAP knowledge
  • Prior experience as Tool Stores Supervisor or equivalent (2+ years)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
