About the role
Olympic Medical Physicians’ Cardiology clinics are located in Port Angeles and Sequim, on Washington State’s beautiful North Olympic Peninsula. We have an immediate opening for a board-certified or board eligible Cardiologist skilled in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology to join our busy practice.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialty outpatient acute and chronic cardiac consultation and care in the clinic and Heart Center setting.
- Interpret echocardiograms, nuclear studies, and EKGs.
- Collaborate with referring providers, Heart Center personnel, and OMP Cardiology Advanced Practice Clinicians (Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants).
- Consultation to hospitalists on inpatients.
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited school.
- Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA approved postgraduate training program in Internal Medicine of at least three years duration.
- Successful completion of requirements of the American Board of Internal Medicine for subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Maintains appropriate Continuing Medical Education credits per Washington State and OMC Medical Staff requirements.
- Completion of cardiology fellowship.
Qualifications
- Board certified or active participant in the examination process leading to certification in Internal Medicine and subspecialty certification in Cardiovascular Disease.
- Maintains an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Washington.
- Maintains current DEA registration.
- Maintains current ACLS certification.
- Maintains appropriate privileges and membership on the OMC Medical Staff.
