Key Responsibilities
- Market Leadership & Vision Execution
- Drive operational consistency, compliance, and process execution across the Market.
- Analyze market data and trends to ensure stores maintain a balanced inventory mix tailored to local demand.
- Optimize inventory aging and pricing to market using internal tools and market intelligence.
- Facilitate inter-store vehicle transfers to maximize retail opportunities and reduce aging.
- Conduct regular business to assess KPIs, identify shortfalls, and implement corrective action plans.
- Evaluate speed-to-market metrics and reconditioning cycle times; partner with Service Directors to streamline processes.
- Champion merchandising best practices, ensuring all AutoNation branding and digital presentation standards are met.
- Support store leaders in managing all customer traffic channels: showroom, e-commerce, and phone.
- Guide trade appraisal strategy and trade-in retention targets across stores.
- Partner with General Managers and Sales Managers to ensure alignment on retail and acquisition strategies.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 7+ years of automotive sales management experience with 3+ years in multi-store leadership preferred.
- Proven success in used vehicle operations, inventory strategy, and retail execution.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Experience with dealership technology platforms (CRM, DMS, inventory and pricing tools).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
