About the role

Responsible for performing multiple trading and cash reconciliation functions in a daily valuation retirement plan environment. Support trading, settlement, and cash reconciliation of funds.

Responsibilities

  • Process daily and complex trade requests on internal recordkeeping system across multiple custodians and databases, including processing, checking and sending trade files
  • Process internal and external manual trade requests, involving numerous calculations and manipulations in Excel, and update recordkeeping system accordingly
  • Complete cash reconciliation of multiple and high-volume transactions, research discrepancies, communicate findings to various internal departments, and track resolution of outstanding items
  • Take ownership of tracking, reviewing, and resolving trade rejects, including working with multiple custodians as well as internal departments when necessary and communicate effectively with appropriate parties involved
  • Identify, research, and resolve fund variances on multiple systems, both internal and external, and update recordkeeping system when necessary
  • Complete daily settlement/confirmation of trades from multiple custodians on internal recordkeeping system, including verifying accuracy and research and resolve exceptions
  • Verify, process, and, as necessary, research reinvest cash dividends on internal recordkeeping system
  • Monitor, evaluate, and process requests from group email inboxes and Salesforce cases, ensuring timely and accurate completion in accordance with strict internal deadlines
  • Create weekly reporting on outstanding reconciliation items and disburse to a predetermined list
  • Research system errors by investigating inconsistencies caused by trading and cash activities
  • Manage daily cash processing, including processing ACH transactions and reporting daily deposits across multiple custodians and databases
  • Track, verify, and generate reporting on trade reject and cash activity using Salesforce CRM
  • Review exceptions and identify risks pertaining to trading and uninvested cash
  • Provide trainings and support for internal and offshore support team
  • Perform additional responsibilities and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred
  • 3-4 years’ experience working with retirement plans/financial industry and/or organizational equivalence
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Experience in trading, bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, accounting, or retirement plan reconciliation preferred
  • Intermediate skillset in Microsoft Office, with focus on Excel
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent and mature judgment, prioritize workload, & maintain confidentiality required
  • Proven ability to work in high pressure environment with deadlines
  • Ability to display a range of characteristics, including calmness under pressure, a positive attitude, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently as well as in a group setting and maintain tight schedules
  • Sitting, typing and computer monitor viewing for extended periods

Remote Work Information

For all virtual remote positions, an uninterrupted virtual workspace is required, with family care in place during business hours. Internet speed must be 50 MBps or better for individual use; if multiple people share the connection, a stronger speed is required.

Pay

The average salary for this position is expected to be between $48,000 and $60,000/year. Base pay may vary depending on market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Other rewards and benefits may include: 401(k) match, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long term disability, and paid-time off.
