Responsibilities
- Assists the provider in opening and closing procedures and attends scheduled market calls and ongoing training.
- Greets patients in friendly manner and assists them through self-scheduling at kiosks or online.
- Manages the patient waiting area proactively by addressing patient needs and communicating wait times.
- Performs daily inventory of medical and office supplies and communicates ordering needs to the practitioner on duty.
- Ensures all patients complete customer engagement surveys.
- Generates customer awareness of the clinic and its services by disseminating marketing materials and talking to customers.
- Maintains clinic cleanliness by cleaning exam rooms before and after patient use and at the end of the day, and checks bathroom cleanliness.
- Facilitates clinic and patient flow by preparing patients in exam rooms and collecting and entering demographic data, insurance information, and medical history.
- Elevates patient concerns and immediate care needs to the provider on duty and serves as a chaperone for exams as requested.
- Fills patient cancellation slots efficiently to keep provider schedules booked.
- Communicates cordially and professionally with patients via phone and in person to meet their needs promptly.
- Advocates for services such as sick visits, flu shots, vaccines, and physicals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Grad or Equiv is required.
- 1+ years of experience in patient care is preferred.
- Ability to deal with data that is of a sensitive and confidential nature (HIPAA) is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment is preferred.
Skills
- Proficient with computer programs with word processing: PowerPoint, Excel, Word is preferred.
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills by effectively communicating with all levels of management and staff is preferred.
- Strong emphasis on organizational skills and strong attention to detail and ability to multi task is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is preferred.
Qualifications
- American Association Medical Assistants (CMA) is preferred.
- Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) is preferred.
- Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is preferred.
- National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) is preferred.
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) is preferred.
- Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA) is preferred.
- National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) is preferred.
- Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) is preferred.
- NHA Certified Patient Care Technician/Assistant (CPCT/A) is preferred.
- NCCT Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) is preferred.
- AMCA Patient Care Technician Certification (PCT-C) is preferred.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $15.34 - $23.02.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, located at 1000 SW Alsbury BLVD, Burleson, Texas 76028.
