Job Description

Pitney Bowes is hiring for a Non CDL Truck Driver II for their Salt Lake City, UT facility. Join our team and earn $20.00 per hour! 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 12:00 pm - 8:30 pm Route: Local area in a 26" box truck.

Responsibilities

• Perform route deliveries in a 26" box truck
• Pick up and deliver mail from customers
• Inspect products to verify conformance to customer specifications and USPS regulations
• Ensure proper dates, presort slugs, and pickup slips are attached with each order before loading the truck
• Perform warehouse duties including wrapping pallets, stacking trays, and loading trucks
• Keep a daily driver's log for mileage and cargo
• Maintain documentation for customer pickups such as collecting signatures and tracking/mail counts
• Assist with mail-related questions
• Keep the vehicle, production floor, and area clean
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years in age
• Valid state motor vehicle operator’s license (State in which driver resides)
• Minimum of six months verifiable driving experience in similar sized vehicles (i.e. straight truck) within the last 3 years with a safe driving record
• Basic computer skills and ability to read a map and understand directions
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop, and bend with or without accommodations
• Able to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays, and/or a different shift with little or no advance notice
• Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
• Flexible and able to come in early or work later if someone calls off or is on vacation
