About the Role
We are looking for a Non CDL Driver to join our team in Saint John, IN. This full-time position offers competitive pay, a full benefits package, and opportunities for advancement, with no nights or Sundays.
Responsibilities
- Assist Driver with unloading material from various vehicles, including 16' to 26' Box trucks, 14' to 24' Flatbeds, Pickup trucks, Sprinter Vans, and 24' Fork Trucks.
- Unload material safely and accurately onto commercial and residential jobsites without damaging customer property or product.
- Load trucks using order sheets and secure product to ensure accuracy and safe transit.
- Perform any task deemed necessary by the Logistics Manager.
- Pick up lumber returns from ground to chest level onto the bed of flatbeds.
- Operate diesel, propane, and electric sit-down forklifts.
- Operate additional equipment, including sweepers, skid steers, order pickers (8-30 feet in the air), pickup trucks (with and without snowplow), flatbeds, box trucks, vans, and SUVs.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.
- Effectively communicate with customers, management, and team members via radios, cell phones, or in person.
- Assist customers with a smile, including moving swiftly or jogging with urgency to waiting customers across the Yard/Warehouses.
- Demonstrate organizational skills, basic math proficiency, and the ability to read a tape measure.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to regularly lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 80 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, bending, reaching, gripping, pushing, pulling, lifting, climbing, carrying, and walking throughout the Yard/Warehouses.
- Safe operation of all equipment.
- Composite or steel toe shoes required (annual boot reimbursement provided).
