About the role
This role involves operating a high-lift box truck (16'–26') on airport grounds to deliver and retrieve airline catering carts and equipment to/from aircraft. Responsibilities include raising/lowering the truck to aircraft doors for accurate loading and unloading, loading, securing, pushing, pulling, and transporting food, beverage, and equipment carts based on flight schedules, coordinating with airline crews, ramp agents, and internal teams, ensuring on-time, accurate deliveries to support flight departures, performing routine safety checks, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness.
Responsibilities
- Operate a high-lift box truck (16'–26') on airport grounds
- Deliver and retrieve airline catering carts and equipment to/from aircraft
- Raise/lower truck to aircraft doors for accurate loading and unloading
- Load, secure, push, pull, and transport food, beverage, and equipment carts based on flight schedules
- Coordinate with airline crews, ramp agents, and internal teams
- Ensure on-time, accurate deliveries to support flight departures
- Perform routine safety checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Follow all airport safety, TSA, and security procedures
- Remain on your feet for the majority of the shift while working in a fast-paced operational setting
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year of box truck or straight truck experience (16'–26' required)
- Ability to pass: TSA background check, Airport security clearance, Pre-employment drug screening
- Able to frequently push, pull, and lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work throughout an entire shift
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Able to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Open availability (including nights, weekends, and holidays)
Qualifications
Candidates must have prior experience operating box trucks or similar commercial vehicles. Experience limited to personal vehicles, rideshare, or delivery apps does not qualify. This is not an entry-level driving role.
Skills
Physical stamina, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment are essential. Must be able to perform tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving heavy equipment and materials.
