Essential Functions
- Moves loaded and empty trailers in and out of the docks.
- Moves loaded and empty trailers for the customer when needed following safety procedures.
- Drives empty and loaded trailers within the confines of the property. NOT ALLOWED TO OPERATE on state and federal roadways.
- Completes yard check daily to verify accuracy of the trailers in the yard.
- Performs manual duties out of the truck as assigned (i.e. Trailer inspections, opening and closing trailer doors).
- Ensures product or equipment is inspected & free of damage or contamination.
- Completes paperwork/documentation properly.
- Uses a basic computer and or tablet for documentation purposes.
- Operates handheld radio.
- Daily housekeeping of the tractor being operated that day.
- Reports any inconsistencies to the Traffic Coordinator.
- Reliable attendance at scheduled shifts.
- Perform all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Position Qualifications
- Communication – Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally in a courteous and professional manner with others. Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instruction.
- Mathematics – Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division) in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
- Language – Ability to identify and compare letters and numbers. Ability to read and interpret documents such as receivers, invoices, operating instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write simple sentences.

Paperwork – Verification - Ability to verify paperwork necessary to ensure customer is receiving correct product. Ability to inspect condition of product received and product going out to ensure quality.
