Nocturnist Physician, Hospitalist - Optum NV
About the role
The Southwest Medical Associates (SMA), an Optum company, is seeking a Nocturnist Physician to join their team in Las Vegas, NV. This position is part of the hospitalist/nocturnist team, responsible for managing adult inpatients including geriatrics. The schedule is 7 days on/7 days off, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with no ICU coverage or procedures required.
Responsibilities
- Manage adult inpatients including geriatrics
- Work as part of a team with excellent support structure
- Provide compassionate, innovative, and high-quality care
- Treat Medicare Advantage patients under a managed care model
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
- MD or DO degree
- Active and unrestricted license in NV
- DEA license or ability to obtain
- IM or FM residency training, Board Certified
- Experience as a hospitalist
Qualifications

Pay
The salary range for this role is $260,000 to $387,000 per year. Salary is based on several factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.
Schedule
The schedule is 7 days on/7 days off, from 7 PM to 7 AM, with no ICU coverage or procedures required.
