Nocturnist Nurse Practitioner, Urgent Care
We're seeking board-certified Nurse Practitioners with multi-state licensure, broad clinical expertise, and a passion for improving healthcare access and quality.
About the role
In this role, you'll deliver virtual comprehensive care to patients of all ages across a wide range of conditions while working closely with our provider and support teams. This is a great opportunity for a clinician with at least 3 years of experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings. Currently unable to consider candidates residing in the following states: CA, NY, GA, TN, IL, NV, MO, AL, SC, IN, MI, OR, MA, MS, AK, DC, HI.
Responsibilities
- Conduct age-appropriate history and virtual exams
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a broad range of conditions across the lifespan
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests as needed
- Develop and document treatment plans in a timely, accurate manner
- Manage acute, chronic, and mental health conditions for pediatric and adult patients
- Request consultation or referral with other healthcare providers when appropriate
- Counsel and educate patients and families on treatment plans
- Maintain current knowledge of clinical best practices and evidence-based care
- Provide cross-coverage for tasks such as reviewing lab results
- Offer scheduling flexibility, including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, with prior graduation from an accredited nursing school
- Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license with maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, in accordance with state requirements
- Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC
- Active RN compact license
- Active multi-state licensure (5+ licenses preferred)
- Minimum 3+ years post-training experience in high-volume Urgent Care or Primary Care settings
- Experience providing care to newborns through adult populations
- Ability to function within an integrated medical practice
- Strong clinical acumen and ability to manage a broad range of conditions
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and patient engagement skills
- Proficiency with technology and electronic medical records
- Maintain active Medicare status - in good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal health programs
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior telemedicine or video-based virtual care experience
- Experience with Athena EMR
Schedule
- Modified Full Time: 30 hrs/week (60 hrs/pay period)
- Weeknights: 8-hour shifts between 11p-6a in the clinician’s time zone
- Every other weekend: two 8-hour shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 11p-6a in the clinician’s time zone)
Shift scheduling is managed by our team (this is not a self-scheduling role), but we always do our best to take your personal preferences into consideration. Final hours and specific shift times will be confirmed a few weeks prior to your official start date.
Pay
Modified Full-Time: $107,629.14-$127,583.21/yr on average with guaranteed base + equity + benefits. Additionally, Included Health offers productivity incentives for employees who exceed the visit target.
