NOC Technician

Tier 1-2 Support

  • Proactively monitor and troubleshoot the DQE Communications Customer Network
  • Manage Network Operations Center tasks including trouble ticket queues, inbound and outbound calls, email support inboxes, and additional work required by network events

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Independently analyze, communicate, and resolve problems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Expertise with basic computer hardware, PC desktop operating systems, and applications
  • Analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to show initiative and sound judgment
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for hardware and software configuration management and tracking
  • Linux/Mac experience a plus

Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree preferred
  • Certifications from a technical trade school encouraged
  • Prior experience in technical support roles preferred
