About the role
As a Systems Administrator, you will perform systems and server administration tasks, ensuring the functionality, efficiency, and security of a group of servers. You will assist in the build, implementation, test, maintenance, and decommissioning of site systems while monitoring and analyzing system performance to maintain service availability and meet Service Level Agreements.
Responsibilities
- Perform day-to-day user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, and print services
- Assist in the build, implementation, test, maintenance, and decommissioning of site systems within the network
- Monitor and analyze system architecture components to ensure integration and performance
- Monitor site datacenter performance using analytic tools
- Provide technical analysis of anomalies, capacity utilization, database performance, bulletins, event logs, and alerts within the network infrastructure
- Install and maintain system monitoring, analysis, and reporting tools
- Manage COTS & GOTS products for system security and operations/performance functions
- Follow Operations and Maintenance (O&M) checklists (daily, weekly, monthly, yearly) and build Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Initiate change requests, participate in change control and configuration management processes, and schedule authorized service interruption windows
- Use monitoring tools and enterprise security information and event management (SIEM) to manage and create complex event alarms/rules and summary reports
- Assist in analyzing technical risk of emerging network management and security systems, tools, and processes
- Work as part of a security incident response team
- Maintain systems to meet Enterprise Service Availability and Service Level Agreement requirements
- Utilize IT Service Management (ITSM) principles to identify, categorize, prioritize, escalate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents
- Maintain systems security and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures
- Assist with the development of third-party monitoring actions and procedures for network infrastructure
- Assist system engineers and architects with the buildout and upgrade of GDIT NOC and network management capabilities
- Travel occasionally (less than 10%) to assist with installations or upgrades at downstream network locations
Requirements
- 1+ years of related experience
- Must meet DOD 8140 requirements and be eligible for Intermediate Proficiency level access upon hire for positions with elevated privileges
- Must possess and maintain Security+ CE certification (additional certifications may be required depending on job assignment)
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and collaborative skills
- U.S. citizenship required
- Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain a Secret clearance)
Preferred Skills
- Experience with STIG patching, compliance, and other security activities
- NOC/SOC operations background
- Experience working directly with hardware vendors for incident resolution

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $57,824 - $69,000, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements.
Schedule
- Full-time (40 scheduled weekly hours)
- Onsite at GDIT NOC in Oklahoma City, OK
- Minimal travel required (less than 10%)
