About the role

We're looking for a passionate, data-driven individual to join our small but growing team. As an early employee, you'll have a direct impact on the product and the future of Motivyn. You'll work closely with the founders to build and refine features that serve the collector car community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for our market intelligence platform, focusing on data accuracy, user experience, and performance.
• Work with auction data from multiple sources, ensuring clean, reliable, and up-to-date information for our users.
• Build tools for collectors and dealers to track portfolios, set price alerts, and analyze market trends.
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement new product features, from concept to launch.
• Optimize data pipelines and backend systems to handle large volumes of auction results and user activity.
• Contribute to the private "Lounge" community, adding features that facilitate networking and private listings among members.
• Monitor and improve platform security, ensuring user data is protected with industry-standard encryption.

Requirements

• Experience building web applications with a focus on data-driven products.
• Proficiency in modern web technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, Python, or similar).
• Strong understanding of databases, APIs, and data processing (e.g., SQL, REST, GraphQL, or real-time data syncs).
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of features from start to finish.
• Passion for cars, markets, or data — or ideally, all three.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment where priorities can shift quickly.

Skills

• Full-stack development (frontend and backend).
• Data processing and automation (e.g., scraping, ETL, or working with third-party APIs).
• UI/UX sensibilities — you care about building intuitive, polished interfaces.
• Problem-solving and debugging in complex systems.
• Strong communication skills; ability to collaborate with a small, remote team.
