About the role

As a Product Engineer focusing on backend, you will be responsible for leading full-cycle development of our products. We are creating next-generation infrastructure for ESG and AI, supporting enterprise sustainability efforts. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs
• Design and implement data models that accurately reflect business requirements
• Participate in system architecture design
• Contribute to software design patterns to build clean and maintainable solutions
• Document technical aspects of projects and provide feedback on design documents
• Collaborate with other engineers on full-stack development
• Engage in full-cycle development including specification, design, implementation, testing, release, and support

Requirements

• Knowledge of basic algorithms and data structures
• Experience with web services development, deployment, and improvement
• Experience with TypeScript for software development
• Experience with designing and implementing back-end API's
• Experience designing data models that reflect business requirements
• Experience with system architecture design
• Experience with software architects and their responsibilities
• Experience with applying software design patterns to create clean and maintainable solutions
• Ability to read, write, and speak Japanese
• Basic English reading and writing skills

• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with tRPC
• Experience with Prisma
• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with AWS for infrastructure management
• Type-safe language experience
• Experience working in a team environment (including design reviews and code reviews)
• Experience leading projects or development teams
• Familiarity with front-end technologies
• Experience improving development efficiency (CI/CD)
• Experience with web security
• Experience with testing
• Experience with B2B web service development
• Experience making technology choices
• Experience with large-scale service design, operation, and construction
• Active engagement in text communication
