NMO Technician II

About the role

This role is the next step in the NMO Technician job progression, involving intermediate-level testing, troubleshooting, repairing, or refurbishing with a foundational understanding of sub-systems. It supports engineering, prototypes, development, or production requirements for low-volume/high-mix electronic, mechanical, or software-related products while complying with workmanship standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic technical work activities with demonstrated experience and ability.
• Apply electrical and mechanical skills to complete tasks.
• Read, understand, and follow work procedures to accurately record results.
• Learn from project leads and subject matter experts while demonstrating technical aptitude.
• Use equipment, techniques, and tools necessary to complete tasks.
• Participate in teamwork-related activities without expectation of informal leadership.
• Understand basic documentation and drawings defining the work performed.
• Work under close supervision while learning self-direction.
• Engage in minimal interactions with Honeywell customers.
• Understand the basics of Honeywell Operating Systems (HOS) and Management Operating Systems (MOS).

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• 2 or more years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
• United States citizenship.
• Ability to work on-site as directed by management.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
• Some positions may require unique electrical, mechanical, or electronic skills.
• Formal training or practical experience equivalent to technical knowledge obtained in military training or a two-year technical degree.
