NJTSS Coordinator and Intervention Specialist

Full-time 10-month position with benefits.

Pay

Starting salaries: Step 1BA - $73,699 and Step 1MA - $81,804.

Qualifications

• Valid NJDOE instructional certification
• Reading Specialist certification and Orton-Gillingham certification preferred
• In-depth knowledge of the New Jersey Tiered System of Supports (NJTSS), evidence-based tiered interventions, and progress-monitoring practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of research-based reading instruction, dyslexia, and multisensory teaching strategies
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate instructional practices
• Strong assessment, data-analysis, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized and small-group intervention plans
• Ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, support staff, and families while maintaining a positive learning environment
• Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status
• Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L.2011, Chapter 70)
