Responsible for planning and implementing programs in schools and communities. Establishes alliances with organizations which have similar or allied goals, such as school boards, local law enforcement, healthcare providers, community centers, and service providers. Serves as a customer service role model to ensure positive relationships in interactions with all participants, applying schools, and community.
Responsibilities
- Plan the delivery of overall programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization specific to New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services.
- Develop a program evaluation framework to assess program strengths and identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate and/or manage small- and large-group community-based meetings and trainings.
- Provide training to staff and community-based organizations.
- Track relevant activities in public health, youth mental health, and related fields to inform Prevention Links, its programs, partners, and communities.
- Upload Tier 1 Events and Flyers to Salesforce.
- Manage Tier 2 Offerings/Events.
- Ensure closing of service tickets within the Salesforce platform.
- Ensure the collection and easy access of programmatic information such as program outcomes and number of people served.
Staffing Responsibilities
- In collaboration with the Assistant Director of NJ4S, recruit, interview, and select well-qualified program staff.
- Ensure compliance and model Prevention Links human resources policies, procedures, and practices.
- Complete regular performance evaluations.
- Meet with staff (one-on-ones, team meetings, etc.) to understand and troubleshoot challenges they are facing.
Program Leadership
- Ensure all team members receive proper onboarding and appropriate training.
- Supervise team by providing direction, input, and performance feedback in real time.
- Coordinate the delivery of services among different program activities to increase effectiveness and efficiency.

Requirements
- Ability to perform work responsibilities in various locations.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sensitivity, flexibility, and responsiveness to gender, race, ethnicity, socio-economic status, religion, age, sexual orientation, or any other special needs.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and basic computer skills.
- Availability to attend weekend and evening meetings and events as required.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Strong time management skills to organize and manage multiple priorities and tasks.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and New Jersey.
- Ability to serve as a representative of Prevention Links, upholding agency expectations of excellence and collaboration.
- Understanding of all programs, grants, and projects offered by Prevention Links.
- Adherence to Prevention Links administrative, reporting, and recordkeeping guidelines.
- Participation in all agency-required training.
- Ability to speak and write in English.
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Possession of a valid New Jersey Driver’s License and independent mode of transportation.
- Completion of all other duties and tasks as requested by the Division Director.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, public administration, social work, etc.) required.
- Experience in community organizing, developing community partnerships, implementing evidence-based programs, and project management.
- At least five (5) years’ experience working in a social service environment implementing evidence-based practice models; three (3) years of which shall be in a supervisory capacity.
- Preferred experience working with and empowering at-risk youth and marginalized communities by conducting prevention education (e.g., substance abuse, pregnancy prevention, mental health, and well-being sessions).
Schedule
- Must be available evenings and weekends.
- Domestic travel may be required for this full-time position. Local, independent travel is required.
Pay
$60,000–$65,000 yearly salary.
