About the role

The role involves traffic planning and design, focusing on developing and implementing strategies to improve road safety and efficiency. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in transportation engineering, traffic analysis, and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement traffic flow optimization plans
  • Conduct traffic studies and analyze data to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Prepare and present reports on project progress and outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Transportation Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in traffic planning and design
  • Proficiency in traffic simulation software and GIS tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of traffic engineering standards and best practices
  • Experience with traffic signal design and intersection improvements
  • Understanding of traffic demand forecasting methods

Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with traffic modeling software (e.g., CORSIM, VISSIM)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

Full-time position, Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend work as needed.
