About the role

The Group Teacher delivers quality learning programs that support program curriculum objectives through the development and execution of age-appropriate lesson plans. Lessons are taught in a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes child learning, self-awareness, and growing independence.

Responsibilities

• Teach lessons in a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes child learning, self-awareness, and growing independence.
• Ensure each child progresses appropriately and plays an active role in enhancing their individual growth and development.
• Provide adequate materials for classroom instruction and prepare support staff for assisting in learning activities.
• Provide a safe environment for learning.
• Assume responsibility for the Center as needed in the absence of the Early Childhood Administrator, Assistant Director, or Head Teacher.
• Execute the appropriate lesson plan and meet established objectives for the delivery of quality programs in a supportive and nurturing environment when acting as a substitute teacher.
• Support organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year teaching experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required to play a leading role as a member of the teaching team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Certification or eligibility certification of advanced standing or full certification in Preschool to 3rd grade required.
