About the role
The Group Teacher delivers quality learning programs that support program curriculum objectives through the development and execution of age-appropriate lesson plans. Lessons are taught in a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes child learning, self-awareness, and growing independence.
Responsibilities
- Teach lessons in a supportive and nurturing environment that promotes child learning, self-awareness, and growing independence.
- Ensure each child progresses appropriately and plays an active role in enhancing their individual growth and development.
- Provide adequate materials for classroom instruction and prepare support staff for assisting in learning activities.
- Provide a safe environment for learning.
- Assume responsibility for the Center as needed in the absence of the Early Childhood Administrator, Assistant Director, or Head Teacher.
- Execute the appropriate lesson plan and meet established objectives for the delivery of quality programs in a supportive and nurturing environment when acting as a substitute teacher.
- Support organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year teaching experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills required to play a leading role as a member of the teaching team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
- Certification or eligibility certification of advanced standing or full certification in Preschool to 3rd grade required.
