Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and sustain source code associated with open-source applications used in RF systems (primary focus).
  • Develop, deploy, and maintain applications and scripts associated with RF systems under test (primary focus).
  • Aid in electrical system design, circuit analysis, and PCB layout.
  • Assist with assembly and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical test systems.
  • Support interpretation of RF signals and conduct quality analysis.
  • Aid in electrical integration and wiring of test systems.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate Student 3: Must have course work in the discipline requested on the task order Statement of Work.
  • At the Senior level and have experience in 100% of the task requirements and be able to accomplish 90% of the work independently.
  • Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering major preferred; relevant majors such as Materials Science, Systems Engineering, or Applied Physics may be suitable given relevant coursework and/or work experience.
  • Relevant Coursework And/or Experience:
    • Differential equations
    • Calculus 1, 2 & 3
    • Programming courses (Python, MATLAB, C++, etc.)
    • Physics (mechanics, electromagnetics)
    • Systems Engineering
  • Desired Experience:
    • Python, Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, or MATLAB programming experience.
    • Experience with GIT and version control.
    • Experience in RF test and experimentation.
    • Embedded systems programming.
    • PCB design software experience (Altium, KiCad, Eagle).
    • Ability to read and implement technical documents, engineering drawings, or test standards.
    • Flexible learning new tools and technologies based on project needs.
    • Experience in deploying software and hardware systems.
    • Independent/self-starter who can operate under minimal oversight
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
