Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and sustain source code associated with open-source applications used in RF systems (primary focus).
- Develop, deploy, and maintain applications and scripts associated with RF systems under test (primary focus).
- Aid in electrical system design, circuit analysis, and PCB layout.
- Assist with assembly and troubleshooting of electrical and electromechanical test systems.
- Support interpretation of RF signals and conduct quality analysis.
- Aid in electrical integration and wiring of test systems.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Student 3: Must have course work in the discipline requested on the task order Statement of Work.
- At the Senior level and have experience in 100% of the task requirements and be able to accomplish 90% of the work independently.
- Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering major preferred; relevant majors such as Materials Science, Systems Engineering, or Applied Physics may be suitable given relevant coursework and/or work experience.
- Relevant Coursework And/or Experience:
- Differential equations
- Calculus 1, 2 & 3
- Programming courses (Python, MATLAB, C++, etc.)
- Physics (mechanics, electromagnetics)
- Systems Engineering
- Desired Experience:
- Python, Java, C#, C++, JavaScript, or MATLAB programming experience.
- Experience with GIT and version control.
- Experience in RF test and experimentation.
- Embedded systems programming.
- PCB design software experience (Altium, KiCad, Eagle).
- Ability to read and implement technical documents, engineering drawings, or test standards.
- Flexible learning new tools and technologies based on project needs.
- Experience in deploying software and hardware systems.
- Independent/self-starter who can operate under minimal oversight
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
